Removing Car Paint Scratch
Removing a scratch from the paint of your car is not an easy job. For much deeper scratches, a special type of paint should be used to repaint the entire affected area. However, despite a candy apple paint job cannot easily be done the right way. Having a standard paint process can easily repair a scratch in the paint, particularly if it is using base coat-clear coat. Provided that the scratch is just light, anybody can easily repair the clear coat layer if the base coat-clear procedure was used.
All you need to do is to spray the car paint over the primer in which two coats of paint are needed to spray around the area. Once the coats have dried, it is about time that you wet sand each. You will have enough when the paint is becoming closest to the colour of the rest of the car. When spraying try to keep the spray can at least five to eight centimetres away from the area being painted. Be careful to use a light touch so that you will not create runs in the paint. This is when the fresh paint drips down the side of the vehicle. You should take note that the job should be left to dry for at least 24 hours.
Use clear coat when spraying the repaired area and allow the clear coat to dry. After wet sanding it with a 2000-grit wet dry sand paper to polish the paint, the application of clear coat must be added. For heavier painting jobs, try to contact your mechanic or a certified body repairman to handle it more professionally. This will provide a much clearer finish if the procedure is exactly done.
